EVERYDAY CARE

The short version

Put jewelry on after perfume, skincare, makeup, and hairspray have dried.
After wear, wipe away moisture and residue with a clean, soft cloth.
Store pieces separately in a dry pouch or closed jewelry box to reduce scratching and tangling.
Remove delicate, plated, pearl, shell, resin, rattan, and textile pieces before showering, swimming, exercising, or sleeping.
Keep every piece away from chlorine, bleach, household cleaners, alcohol, acetone, and other strong chemicals.
When several materials appear in one design, follow the instructions for the most delicate material.

BASE METALS & STRUCTURAL MATERIALS

316L Stainless Steel

316L stainless steel requires relatively little maintenance and can comfortably handle the moisture and perspiration associated with normal everyday wear.

For routine cleaning, wipe the surface with a soft cloth. If additional cleaning is needed, use lukewarm water with a small amount of mild soap, rinse thoroughly, and dry completely.

Although stainless steel is highly resistant to corrosion, avoid unnecessary prolonged exposure to chlorine, bleach, strong cleaning agents, and other harsh chemicals. These substances may affect plating, decorative finishes, stones, adhesives, or other components even when the stainless-steel base remains unaffected.

Surface scratches can still develop through normal wear, particularly where jewelry repeatedly rubs against hard objects.

Plated Brass

To preserve the plated finish, remove your brass jewelry before showering, swimming, exercising, or sleeping. Avoid prolonged exposure to sweat, perfume, lotions, hairspray, chlorine, household cleaners, and other chemicals.

Apply fragrance and skincare before putting on your jewelry, and allow them to dry first. After wear, gently wipe the piece with a soft, dry cloth to remove moisture and residue.

Store brass jewelry separately in a dry pouch or closed jewelry box to reduce exposure to humidity, air, and abrasion. Avoid aggressive polishing or abrasive cleaners on plated surfaces, as these can gradually wear away the finish.

Over time, some surface aging or patina may naturally develop. Proper care helps preserve the original finish for longer.

Sterling Silver (S925)

Sterling silver naturally reacts with elements in the surrounding environment and may gradually darken, yellow, or lose some brightness. This is normal tarnishing rather than permanent deterioration.

After wear, gently wipe the surface with a soft cloth. Store the piece dry and separately, ideally in a closed pouch or jewelry box, to slow oxidation and prevent scratching.

For light tarnish, use a polishing cloth intended for sterling silver. Avoid excessive polishing of plated, oxidized, intentionally textured, or specially finished surfaces.

Remove sterling silver jewelry before swimming or exposure to chlorine, bleach, household cleaning products, and other strong chemicals. Perfume, lotions, cosmetics, humidity, and perspiration may also accelerate tarnishing.

Resin

Clean resin jewelry using a soft, slightly damp cloth and dry it afterward.

Avoid alcohol, acetone, strong solvents, household cleaning products, and abrasive cleaners, as they may dull, cloud, soften, or otherwise damage the surface.

Keep resin away from excessive heat and prolonged direct sunlight whenever possible. Avoid scratching the surface against harder materials and store pieces separately from metal jewelry.

Remove before activities where the piece may be crushed, bent, heavily scratched, or exposed to strong chemicals.

Small differences in color, transparency, embedded elements, or surface character may occur in individually made resin pieces and are part of the material rather than defects.

Rattan

Rattan is a natural material and should be kept away from prolonged moisture and high humidity whenever possible.

Remove rattan jewelry before showering, swimming, or exercising. If the piece becomes slightly damp, gently blot it dry and allow it to air-dry completely at room temperature.

Do not soak rattan, use chemical cleaners, or expose it to excessive heat. Avoid crushing, bending, or placing heavy objects on the jewelry, as this may permanently alter its shape.

Store in a dry location with enough space to maintain its form.

Natural differences in fiber, tone, texture, and weave are expected and contribute to the individual character of each piece.

Textile

Handle textile jewelry gently and avoid excessive pulling, twisting, or friction.

Keep away from water, heavy perspiration, perfume, makeup, lotions, and cleaning products unless the specific product states otherwise.

Do not machine wash, tumble dry, iron, or chemically clean textile jewelry unless expressly instructed on the product page.

If dust develops, remove it gently with a clean, dry, soft brush or cloth. Store the piece separately so that metal hardware or other jewelry does not snag or compress the textile.

Individual textile pieces may show subtle differences in weave, fiber texture, or shape.

PEARLS & SHELL

Freshwater Pearl

Freshwater pearls are more delicate than most metal jewelry and should be treated gently.

Put pearl jewelry on after perfume, hairspray, makeup, lotions, and skincare products have dried. Remove before showering, swimming, exercising, or sleeping.

After wear, gently wipe pearls with a clean, soft cloth before storage. If necessary, use a slightly damp cloth and allow the piece to dry completely before putting it away.

Avoid ultrasonic cleaners, abrasive products, chemical jewelry cleaners, acids, and prolonged water exposure.

Store pearls separately from harder jewelry to protect their nacre surface from scratching.

Variations in shape, tone, surface texture, and luster are natural characteristics rather than defects.

Imitation Pearl

Imitation pearls typically rely on a decorative pearlescent surface coating, so protecting that outer layer is the priority.

Apply perfume, hairspray, lotions, and cosmetics before putting on the jewelry and allow them to dry first.

Remove before showering, swimming, exercising, or sleeping. Avoid alcohol, acetone, household cleaners, abrasive products, and jewelry dips.

After wear, gently wipe with a soft, dry cloth. Store separately to prevent the surface from rubbing against harder jewelry.

Gradual surface wear may occur over time in areas exposed to repeated friction.

Mother of Pearl & Natural Shell

Mother of pearl and natural shell should be handled gently to protect their polished surface and natural luster.

Avoid perfume, lotions, hairspray, household chemicals, acidic substances, alcohol-based cleaners, and abrasive jewelry products.

Remove before showering, swimming, exercising, or activities where the piece may be struck against a hard surface.

Clean gently with a soft, slightly damp cloth and dry immediately. Do not soak or use ultrasonic cleaners.

Store separately from harder jewelry to minimize scratching and chipping.

Natural variations in color, pattern, texture, thickness, and iridescence are expected and are part of the material.

PLATED FINISHES

14K & 18K Gold-Plated Finishes

Gold plating is a surface finish, so reducing friction and chemical exposure is the most effective way to preserve it.

Apply perfume, skincare, makeup, and hairspray before putting on the piece, and allow them to dry.
For plated brass, remove before showering, swimming, exercising, or sleeping. A stainless-steel base is more moisture resistant, but the plating and decorative components still benefit from being rinsed and dried after exposure.
Wipe gently with a clean, soft, dry cloth. Do not use metal polish, abrasive cloths, jewelry dips, or strong cleaners.
Store separately in a dry pouch or lined compartment so hard surfaces do not rub against the finish.
Gradual wear at chains, clasps, edges, ring undersides, and other high-friction areas is normal.

Silver & Rhodium-Plated Finishes

Silver- and rhodium-colored plating should be cared for as a plated surface rather than polished as solid silver.

Keep away from perfume, lotions, chlorine, bleach, household cleaners, and alcohol-based products.
Wipe with a soft, dry cloth after wear. If the piece needs more cleaning, use a lightly damp cloth and dry it immediately.
Do not use silver dip, tarnish remover, metal polish, toothpaste, or abrasive polishing cloths; these may thin or scratch the plated layer.
Store dry and separately to reduce oxidation, friction, and surface wear.

STONES, CRYSTALS & OTHER DETAILS

Crystal

Wipe facets with a clean, soft cloth after wear to remove fingerprints and product residue.
If needed, use a slightly damp cloth with a trace of mild soap, then dry immediately.
Avoid perfume, hairspray, lotions, alcohol, abrasive cleaners, and prolonged soaking.
Do not use an ultrasonic or steam cleaner unless a jeweler has confirmed that both the crystal and its setting or adhesive are suitable.
Store separately to protect both the facets and surrounding metal from scratches.

Amber

Amber is soft and heat sensitive. Keep it away from hot water, radiators, high heat, and prolonged direct sunlight.
Avoid perfume, hairspray, alcohol, acetone, household cleaners, and other solvents.
Wipe gently with a clean, soft, dry cloth. If necessary, use a barely damp cloth and dry immediately.
Do not use ultrasonic cleaners, steam cleaners, abrasive compounds, or commercial jewelry dips.
Store separately from harder stones and metal to prevent scratching.

Jade

Clean with a soft, damp cloth. For heavier residue, use lukewarm water and a small amount of mild soap, then rinse and dry thoroughly.
Avoid hard impact, dropping, or pressure against edges; jade is durable but can chip or fracture.
Keep away from bleach, chlorine, acids, perfume, and strong household chemicals.
Avoid ultrasonic and steam cleaning unless a professional has confirmed the treatment status of the stone and the security of its setting.
Store separately to reduce scratching and impact.

Cubic Zirconia

Wash occasionally with lukewarm water, mild soap, and a very soft brush to remove lotion and oil from behind the stone.
Rinse carefully and dry completely with a lint-free cloth.
Avoid bleach, chlorine, abrasive cleaners, and hard impact.
Do not soak pieces containing glued settings, pearls, resin, plated brass, or other delicate materials.
Use ultrasonic cleaning only after a jeweler confirms that the setting and every other component are suitable.

Moissanite

Clean periodically with lukewarm water, mild soap, and a soft brush, especially underneath the stone where oils collect.
Rinse thoroughly and dry with a clean, lint-free cloth.
Avoid chlorine, bleach, strong household chemicals, and hard impact.
The stone is durable, but the metal, plating, and setting may be more delicate; follow the care guidance for the complete piece.
Professional cleaning is recommended if the setting feels loose or the stone cannot be cleaned safely at home.

What if my piece needs help?

Stop wearing a piece if a clasp, post, setting, stone, pearl, or structural component feels loose. Please do not attempt glueing, soldering, replating, or reshaping at home, as this may cause additional damage.
